The shortlist of six history titles selected as candidates for the 2020 Wolfson History Prize was announced today. Two could be described as biographical - 'The Five: the Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper’ by Hallie Rubenhold; and ‘Chaucer: a European Life’ by Marion Turner. None of this year's six shortlisted titles was published by Yale. The winner of this year’s prize will be announced on 15 June.
