Yale has announced the forthcoming publication of a new Edward the Confessor biography in the English Monarchs series. This new book will update and presumably replace the 1970 book by Frank Barlow, now having its fiftieth birthday. The new book has been written by Tom Licence, Professor of Medieval History and Consumer Culture at the University of East Anglia, in Norwich. This new book will be published on 11 August 2020, and therefore becomes the 33rd book in the series, making Elizabeth I the 34th when it appears in 2021. ISBN 9780300211542
