Thomas Penn, the author of a popular history/biography of Henry VII (The WInter King - 2011) has a new book released. ‘The Brothers York: an English Tragedy’ was released on 3 October in Britain by Allen Lane. Get past the hyperventilation of some of the acolades such as ‘A gripping, complex and sensational story’ and you might enjoy a retelling of the story of Edward, George and RIchard and the so called Wars of the Roses. We shall see how it compares with the masterful retelling of this same story by Dan Jones a few years ago.
